"If music be the food of love, play on, play on"
My mother shared this lovely quote from Shakespeare, when she introduced me to the piano at age five. This touched a chord deeply then and continues even now.
The next eight years, my training in piano under the Royal School of Music and Trinity College, London, instilled a deep affinity for music.
I find inspiration and joy in both listening and playing music from various genres and musical cultures.

my foray into musical compositions
As a budding poet, I began experimenting with song lyrics. The fusion of my deep love for music and my writer's instinct led to the creation of musical compositions seamlessly blending melody and narrative.
Crafting music is a deeply personal journey that brings me immense comfort, particularly in times of adversity.
I have crafted over 16 musical compositions, sharing the lyrics of 5 in my book.
"A Winter Night" was my first original composition. Here's a practice session with my sister Rebecca, recorded at home before a carol performance a few years ago. I'd love for you to listen.

beyond Piano...
Concurrent to my formal training in Piano, I learned guitar on my own, fascinated by its convenience and playful spirit. This piqued my interest to explore beyond and more, and I take joy in playing nine musical instruments, though the proficiency varies widely.

My mother has been an incredible influence in my life. She introduced and nurtured my artistic sensibilities with joy, patience and sacrifice. Importantly, what she instilled was a sense of gratitude at all times and all circumstances. A few years ago, on her birthday, with a heartful of gratitude, I created this composition.
Presenting ‘Shukriya’ with my sister Rebecca - A tribute to all our mothers who do so much for us. I recommend using earphones.
